For those who enjoy shopping, Gruene also has a great general store and several antique shops. You can even get fitted for a hat at the Gruene Hat Company for a stylish western look. If you find yourself getting thirsty from the Texas heat during your visit to Gruene, you can stop by the Gruene Coffee Haus for a frappe or The Grist Mill for a cold cocktail.
