While Camp Fimfo offers excellent on-site dining options, it’s always fun to venture off campus for a quick bite or a night on the town. Here are our top recommendations if you’re looking to explore near our park in Texas Hill Country!
Wildflour Artisan Bakery & Grill
Just a 5 minute drive from the park, Wildflour serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner and boasts a delicious homemade triple berry jam! On Sundays you can enjoy a special brunch menu, including locally inspired dishes like Hill Country Tenderloin Hash and Paw Paw Bill’s Biscuits & Gravy. Don’t forget to save room for one of their mouthwatering cheesecakes!
Guadalupe Coffee Co.
Swing by this photo-worthy coffee hut if you’re craving a carefully crafted cup of joe – hot or iced! Make sure to try their signature latte, featuring homemade Hibiscus simple syrup! Sound odd? Trust us – it’s seriously sippable!
Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar
Located in the quaint historic town of Gruene, the Gristmill is a must and a quick 20 minute drive. While you wait for a table, you can find a spot in their beer garden, strung with lights and often featuring live music. Sip on a mojito or opt for a bottle of local, Hill Country wine with dinner. Don’t forget your dancing shoes, Gruene Hall is right next door!
Dam Red Barn
Vacationing without the kids? Down the road from our campground, you’ll find a more casual dining and drinking experience, complete with daily drink specials. Come hungry, the Dam Red Barn serves up classic bar food with a twist, like carne asada fries and coastal shrimp sliders. Check out their Wednesday and Friday night karaoke!
Voodoo Wine & Coffee Bar
Treat yourself to a glass of wine and a charcuterie board at this laid-back hidden gem! Located 30 minutes from camp, you can choose from several unique charcuterie boards like the Big Texas Board or the Wurst German Board. Looking for a quick pick-me up closer to camp? Swing by their coffee hut, Wicked Voodoo Espresso, and try one of their “wickedly brewed potions” or “spirit charger groovy smoothies”!
